Hi,
As we bring in another year, I hope this little time capsule of reminisces will hopefully inspire your 2025 travels!
Travelling is absolutely a luxury that we have been blessed with and worked hard to achieve. With that being said, I’m very grateful for all the companies I was privileged to work with this year, which also supported our travels.
Here’s to discovering unforgettable travel experiences and itineraries for your 2025 adventures!
January
Countries: Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

January was our first time backpacking and “traveling” rather than holidaying! It was definitely an experience, to say the least.
From theme parks to beaches, flying to 4-hour bus journeys, beautiful resorts to being scammed at a hotel, it was all an incredible experience!
Top 3 memories:
- Universal Studios, Singapore, because we are theme park enthusiasts.
- Phi Phi Islands from Ao Nang because I’ve never seen waters so clear in all my life and found out I love snorkeling.
- Standing in awe below the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, lit up at night, was spectacular.

February
Countries: Australia

February entailed entirely of working in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. We work a 21-day roster in a very remote area closest to Karratha.
While it’s not exactly a holiday, it’s something I try not to take for granted seeing the kangaroos, dingoes and all the other regional wildlife!
March
Countries: Australia

March was a very cool month for travel! We flew from Perth to Melbourne, Victoria, to visit Albert Park and experience the thrill of the Formula One weekend, enjoying both the scenic beauty of Melbourne and the excitement of the F1 races.
We also had a gorgeous staycation in the Pinjarra region of Western Australia. In a small hidden cabin in a national park, we switched offline for 24 hours and just enjoyed some home-cooked food and board games. I really pray for more of this sort of travel in 2025.

April/ May/ June
Countries: Australia

The reality of these three months was hard work in the Pilbara… Can’t have nice holidays without working for it!
July
Countries: Australia

July we finished our project at work and treated ourselves with a trip to Sydney, New South Wales.
This was our first time visiting and marked our visit to 4 of 6 Australian states!
We loved the local beaches, had two incredible road trips to the Blue Mountains and Kiama, and caught up with some friends from home. A perfect way to wind down from ending our work project!
If you’re visiting Sydney and fancy some inspiration for your itinerary or want to see what we got up to, you can read our detailed 4-day itinerary for beaches, city landmarks, and scenic road trips here.
August
Countries: Ireland, Spain and France

August brought us home to Ireland for two close friends’ weddings. We spent an entire month eating our favourite food, being with our favourite people, and soaking up being at home.
During this month at home, Hannah, Erikka, and I had a girls’ trip to Barcelona. This adventure consisted of epic food, candid pics, and quality catch-ups on everything from the past year apart. If you’re planning a trip to Barcelona or want to see what our girls’ trip entailed, you can read about our Barcelona itinerary here.
Unbelievably grateful that this trip made it out of the group chat!
Followed by an incredible Disneyland Paris trip with Erikka. This was my first time visiting, and it absolutely did not disappoint! I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as much over a 3-day period! You can read all about what we got up to and ate while in the parks here.
August will go down in the history books for me.
September
Countries: Australia & Indonesia

September brought us back to our little home in Perth, Western Australia.
While we secured new jobs and had a little time off before we started, we booked flights on the Friday night & flew to Bali on Saturday morning.
This was our first time experiencing Bali, well technically we had a stop over there before.
We spent 4 days exploring the tropical paradise, and chilling out before starting our new jobs. You can catch everything we done *here*
Back to the grind.
October
Countries: Australia

Making the most of the spring sunshine, we headed to Yallingup for a few days.
October in Australia might just be my favorite time of year, the weather is perfectly balanced between warm and cool.
If you’re curious about what we got up to or need some road trip inspiration from Perth, check out our blog where we share all about our Yallingup adventure!
November
Countries: Australia

November was the ultimate road trip adventure! Okay, maybe not quite Route 66 level, but driving from South Australia to Victoria via the Great Ocean Road was a dream come true.
This journey ticked off a major bucket list item, and it did not disappoint. Spending two nights in South Australia brought us to state 5 of 6 in our Australian adventure. Adelaide and Mount Gambier had a quiet, relaxed vibe, but we’d love to return someday!
From exploring a sinkhole and the stunning Blue Lake to soaking in the views at the iconic 12 Apostles and the Great Ocean Road monument, it was an unforgettable trip. You can read all about it here.
December
Countries: Australia

December is upon us and we are spending Christmas in the comfort of our own home in Perth.
Ready to welcome a new year of travel and health in 2025!
