Hiii,
The travels home have begun! Kicking off the travelling from Perth, Australia to Ireland series, we’re going to have an honest look at whether Perth’s Aspire Lounge is worth the $66pp pass?
Aspire Airport Lounge
If your like me and find airports overwhelming, the description of the lounge had me sold! Have a look: “What better way to start a journey than by sitting in a relaxing and calming space gazing out on to the airfield watching the planes come and go while enjoying complimentary restaurant quality food and drinks.” Once you have booked you will automatically gain 3 hours of access to these amenities! Stay tuned for my review a little later…

What’s Included?
- “Freshly prepared meals”
- “Premium Australian wines”
- “Panoramic views”
- “Fast, unlimited Wifi”
- “shower rooms”

Price
When I originally booked this in June, I paid $66 per adult. I know this is an expensive extra, when I saw what was included I didn’t feel uncomfortable paying it.
Now however, the website shows $75 per adult or walk in price of $82.50.

Review
Would I do it again? No. Did I feel like it was worth the $66pp? Also no. Would I recommend anyone to try it themselves? Again no.
You would think I had an awful experience with those answers, I really didn’t! There were quite a little things that added up for me to come to those answers…
In terms of the atmosphere in the lounge, we felt very out of our comfort zone. Very posh. From what I understood when booking this a space for everyone! Which it is by technicality I suppose. The staff also played into this atmosphere…
If we look at what’s included, this is where my strong opposing opinions stem from. There is a lot of loop holes here.
“Freshly prepared meals” we assumed this would be a small bar menu style system. There was a very small buffet bar with pumpkin soup, noodles, tofu, rice and pork red Thai curry. Sandwiches were gone, fruit was brown and that was everything which was available. I did ask at the bar was there any other food options available to order, but unfortunately I was told no… 15 minutes pass and the same server is walking around asking who ordered the chicken tenders. Yeah, you can imagine my reaction lol. All in all, you don’t get “Freshly prepared meals”.
“Premium Australian wines” this may have been an option, I have no idea. We weren’t offered or assisted by anyone on the order protocol.
“Panoramic views” gorgeous views out looking the runway! Initially when we sat down there were no window seats available, I did manage to go for a walk around before we left and loved it!
“Fast, unlimited Wifi” it’s just the normal airport wifi. I was very disappointed with this. The way it was advertised I assumed it would be faster wifi than the basic airport wifi. It was the exact same one that everyone in the entire airport gets for free. Really it’s not complimentary to the lounge at all, the airport provides it complimentary.
“shower rooms” thankfully I had a shower before leaving the house because the shower rooms were closed. Very disappointing.
In conclusion, we paid a total of $132 for cold food, comfy seats and a cool view. You can see why it’s an absolute MUST PASS experience! It was a huge waste of money for us, but we’ve lived and learned. On future trips, I’m unsure if I will try another lounge. If I do, I will of course give you my honest thoughts! All in all, save your money and go get a Hungry Jacks and window seat on the airport floor. It’s a vibe.
