Location: 4/5

Central. Historic. Lively.

If you’re looking for a stay in the heart of Fremantle, The National Hotel places you right in the middle of all the action.

We loved the convenience of the area, everything was within walking distance, from restaurants to unique activities.

However, it’s worth noting that there is no on-site parking, so if you’re driving, you’ll need to use nearby public parking.

Additionally, being so central means there can be some noise, but this wasn’t much of an issue for us.

A cosy, stylish stay with vintage charm and modern comfort.

Room Highlights

  • High-quality bedding: Soft linens that felt premium, and despite our mid-summer stay, not too hot.
  • Layout flow: The room felt spacious where it mattered most.
  • Bathroom size: Ample room in the bathroom to get ready in.

The bathroom was a standout. It was a wheelchair-accessible room, which meant more space and generous bench space, something we don’t often see in hotels.

The design and decor really caught my eye, with a unique, artsy aesthetic that made it feel more than just functional.

We loved our entire room experience, it had all the comforts we needed, from a fantastic bed to a well-thought-out layout. The only thing we would suggest is a little extra decor in the entryway to make it feel more complete.

Final Thoughts.
