Barcelona | 4 Day Itinerary

Hi,

Barcelona is the perfect destination for a girls’ trip or a romantic getaway.

August past, myself and two of my best friends soaked up Barcelona’s vibrant blend of culture, art, and stunning architecture.

Whether you’re exploring together or soaking up the sun with your besties, Barcelona is sure to create unforgettable memories.

While I often collaborate with brands to share our travel adventures, this trip was entirely self-funded and not sponsored or endorsed by any company. As always, everything I share reflects my genuine experiences and honest opinions, just the way I like it!

Day 1

For most people you’ll want a chill day planned after travelling. We dedicated our day to good food and cocktails at Carmina.

Vodka Pasta- Carmina

On our walk home from dinner and drinks we popped into one of the local jewellers, leaving with permanent matching bracelets! These were €12 each and a beautiful sentiment to our friend group.

Day 2

Day 2 is where the exploring starts! Kickstarting the day with a delicious breakfast from The Coffee House. Specializing in unique bagel combos and brunch, you will not be disappointed with the selection they offer.

Luckily, the Boqueria markets are a short 20-minute walk from your breakfast destination. We grazed on the fresh fruit and juices while wandering around sampling cheeses and meats from the vendors. A foodie’s paradise!

After a long day in the sun you may want some down time by the pool to cool down or use it as a refresh time to get ready for an action packed evening ahead.

Now for the pièce de résistance… Sphynx sunset sailing cruise.

This is something we’ve never done before, rest assured it was thee highlight of our holiday. Sipping bottomless Cava, catching up with the girls and making new friends from across the globe. This experience is one for the memory books!

Day 3

Awaiting a Cafe 365 is always motivation to get out of bed. These are dotted all over Barcelona, asides from being cheap & cheerful, they are delish!

Next stop, the iconic Quadriga De L’Aurora in Parc de la Ciutadella! This entire park is stunning to walk around. We even managed to find a pond with some row boats to rent for €10… I can confirm the laughs we got from this were worth every cent.

You could easily spend hours here, walking around enjoying the architecture, food, activities, or bathing in the Spanish sun!

Finishing your last night in Barcelona with a real treat. The one and only Orient Express Cocktail Bar.

If you haven’t already seen this bar, you’ll want to know all about it. It’s a highly themed bar, taking you on an express train journey to finding your perfect abstract cocktail by doing a quick quiz.

The catch is you don’t get to see the ingredients of your cocktail until it arrives via train to your seat. This may seem daunting, but the staff are wonderful and if by chance it’s not to your taste buds, they will let you have a new one free of charge!

We loved it here for the atmosphere, service, and theming!

Day 4

Unfortunately, day four is travel home day of this itinerary. This does not mean it is lacklustre!

Rise and shine early to catch Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour and finish your sightseeing bucket list.

We opted for the ‘Green’ route, which allowed us to see Barcelona beach, Rambla de Mar (the marina), the Olympic Village, and the iconic Sagrada Família, just to name a few stops!

If you’re a long-term reader here, you’ll know bus tours are always my favourite way to get a crash course view of any city.

As always thank you for being here!

Let me know in the comments if you have visited any of the Barcelona and tell me what is your must do or see?
