First Time Guide To EPCOT | Walt Disney World Florida Guide

Hiii,

The final piece to the Disney World Parks 101 guide! You can check out all the details on Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios & Animal Kingdom on past blogs! As always these guides are made up of my own experience, tops tips I’ve learnt from years of watching WDW vlogs & completing the Disney Stars travel agent course!

EPCOT

You can travel 11 countries in just 1 day at the World Showcase situated around the lagoon in EPCOT. Each pavilion offers unique insight to that country with bespoke cuisine, authentic produce and themed entertainment & attractions.

Personally we loved the relaxed pace of EPCOT. Your day here is definitely more focused on enjoying the immersion, treating yourself to lots of good food & enjoying some of the best rides on Disney property!

During our trip it EPCOT was celebrating their Flower & Garden festival. Beautiful. Just beautiful. Ginormous topiaries of your favourite characters crafted throughout the park. We even got to spend some time in a butterfly garden! Truly worth seeing on its own!

Other festivals to check out details about is the Festival of the Arts & International Food and Wine. We have mutually agreed, our next Disney World trip will 100% be aligned with the dates of Food & Wine. If you look at the link, you will understand why…

Rides & Attractions

Kids Attractions:

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Living with the Land and Kidcot Fun Stop.

Being fully aware that these are kids attractions… You simply have to go on The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Living with the Land! Specifically Living with the Land. It’s such a relaxing attraction and perfect spot for an air con break!

Big Thrills:

Soarin’ Around the World, Test Track and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

All I’ll say is… if there is one and only ride to go on out of all the Disney parks. It’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Revolutionary.

Family Fun:

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Journey into Imagination with Figment, Frozen Ever After and Awesome Planet.

We done every single one of these rides and here’s how we describe in one word. Niamh- “Happy”. Jordan- “Fun”. They are just good for the heart these rides!

Dining

Dining in EPCOT was interesting… because there is bespoke cuisine and authentic produce in each country. It can make it tough to choose where to eat… I mean you have 64 options in this park! Here’s where we ate & our thoughts:

Connections Eatery

This was our go to. You have all your good basics here. We had chicken tenders, chips and pizza! Short wait times and guaranteed tasty food. Or you can mobile order, having it ready to collect when you are also ready to collect!

Space 220 Lounge

AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!! You travel 220 miles into space via elevator to your dining. The lounge itself is insane to look at and the food was equally as good! I had the calamari & jordan had the rib sliders. My god. We devoured these dishes! Unbelievably tasty, especially for food in a theme park. This location is difficult to get a booking for. Make sure to get onto the my Disney Experience app 60 days before your trip for a reservation!!!

Kabuki Cafe

Snow cone on a 35°C sunny Florida day. It’s a no brainer. A refreshing light treat to share!

As a whole I personally feel like EPCOT is the best all around park! There is so much for everyone and theming is perfect for everyone in the family! Endless options of delicious food & no shortage of rides!

That is a wrap on the Disney World 101 Series for now… until next time!
