Hiii,
It’s not really new news to anyone that I love a good coffee or breakfast date. It’s also fair to say that you love coffee recommendations. Last year my top performing blog was My Top 3 Coffee Spots, reviewing my favourite places to go for a coffee at home in NI! Perth is a big place, full of thriving coffee shops. Instead of accumulating my favourite spots into one blog post, I am going to review my favourites as I go along! Any spots that I’m not so keen on will remain off the blog. Let’s deep dive into one of my current favourite coffee spots in Perth: Pixel Coffee Brewers.
Location
Pixel is based in Leederville & a short 4 minute drive from Beatty park, perfect for post sauna fuel. Offering both outdoor and indoor seating, is a bonus considering it’s open 7 days per week year round. I took advantage of the almost spring sunshine and chose to use the outdoor seating. Situated on the street in Leederville, walking distance from Luna, I was expecting traffic noise and people walking past. Pleasantly surprised that both assumptions were wrong. It’s a lovely quiet area, low traffic flow and this benefits the parking situation. There is no parking available for the cafe itself. However, a minutes walk around the corner from Domino’s there is some parking available along the street!

Menu
Free tap water is available by the door, because free water is the best. What brought me here was their açai bowl. I typed ‘açai near me’ into Apple Maps & Pixels was the closest! Upon arrival I realised I had a fair variety of hot breakfast/ brunches, cold deli options and smoothie bowls. The poached chicken nourish bowl, Avo salsa toast and brioche French toast were all competitors to the açai bowl when choosing. You can view their selection of brunch and deli options *here*.
It’s worth noting that the menu is also available for to-go orders. For any busy bodies who don’t have time to sit in!

Food Review
While waiting for my breakfast to come out I had an oat milk latte. Smooth, perfect temperature and a good wholesome mug. You don’t get that many places any more! Don’t get me wrong I love a fancy cup as much as the next person, but there’s something about coffee in a simple mug that hits different. More homely perhaps? Onto breakfast… I won’t lie, this was my first Açai bowl. I’ve had smoothie bowls in the past but never açai. I’m hooked. The cold açai smoothie, paired with creamy almond butter, super fresh fruit (a new found love for goji berries), delicious crunchy granola and not to mention the perfect portion size. Everything about it was perfect for me. I can’t believe I’ve never had one before!

Price
Granted I’ve never had a smoothie bowl else where since moving to Australia, really I have nothing to compare it too. Although I don’t feel like $26.70 for coffee and an açai bowl was outrageous. I can confidently assure you this price paid for quality. Nothing lacked. Everything was fresh, fulfilling and fast. Would I pay this again to eat here? Absolutely.
Overall Review
Kind staff, quick service, delicious food and beautiful location. My overall review of Pixel Coffee Brewers is a highly recommended spot from me. I’m eager to go back and sample their French toast next! I seen someone being served this and instantly wanted it too. As always I will update this post when the day comes… in the mean time you can follow my instagram keep up to date!
