ibis Styles Singapore Albert | Premium Double Room With City View Review

After enjoying a wonderful 72 hours in Singapore, I can confidently affirm that the choice of accommodation makes a difference! Our 3-night stay at ibis Styles Singapore Albert allowed us to experience the cosmopolitan charm of the city in a stylish and affordable manner… Here’s what I thought about our experience!

Location: 10/10

While booking our Adventures Around Asia accommodation, we were determined to stay in central locations to make the most of our time. Ultimately it led us to find ibis Styles Singapore Albert. It is ideally located in the arts and culture district of Albert Street. With authentic site-seeing like Little India only a 8 minute walk away and a shopping paradise in Bugis Street just a short 5 minute walk away, our itinerary was off to a fantastic start before we arrived.

We also took advantage of the 8 minute walk to the Little India Arcade bus stop for a convenient Big Bus Tour, allowing us to explore the city’s best landscapes and attractions with ease. For destinations outside walking distance, taxis were readily available and made our visit to Universal Studios just a 19-minute drive away. To top it off, having two 7/11 stores nearby was incredibly convenient for our daily needs.

I couldn’t not mention the photo opportunity on the 4th floor, looking out onto Selegie House. It is one of Singapore’s first and tallest public housing! There were lots of Instagram worthy spots dotted around the hotel but I’ll chat more about that in honourable mentions!

Amenities : 9/10

The premium room was everything we needed and more! It came with complimentary snacks and drinks, all conveniently stored in a mini fridge. Accompanied by a Nespresso machine for my coffee fix before adventuring all day! On top of that, we had access to a 40” inch TV, perfect for getting ready while listening to music on the music channels.
Talking outside the room I have to address the stunning outside pool area on Level 4 with its cosmopolitan view – it was the perfect spot to soak up the sun. The pool area itself was simple, modern, and clean, offering plenty of cool photo opportunities.

Of course, having free wifi & a simple login experience is a huge plus. However, the real game-changer for us was the 24/7 check-in. After flying from Perth to Singapore and landing at 3 am, it was essential to have somewhere to sleep before starting our adventure in Singapore. The fact that the lobby desk is staffed 24/7 made us feel confident that we would have no issues getting into our room!

Room Experience: 8/10

I’ve mentioned above the premium room benefits, but here is my overall room experience. I’ve said it time and time again on this blog, I don’t enjoy small hotel rooms. It’s something that I will allow for in our budget, I like to feel at home in a hotel room or as close to that as I can feel. The premium room definitely provided us a larger floor space but still on a reasonable budget!

The décor itself was simple and modern, which I believe accurately reflected the entire hotel! For those who read my hotel reviews regularly, you’ll know I have a soft spot for conveniently placed plugs. I’m happy to report that ibis Styles Singapore Albert delivered on this, with sockets on both sides of the bed! It’s the little things that can make a big difference, isn’t it?

Now the big question… was it clean? Yes! Truthfully, I have absolutely no complaints about the cleanliness of the room, including the bathroom.

Honourable Mentions

The customer service here was truly exceptional.I previously mentioned the 24/7 check-in, and this particular experience immediately came to mind when thinking of honourable mentions. The staff, were not only incredibly courteous and helpful, but also went above and beyond by accommodating us at 4 am! Having worked in hospitality myself, I understand it’s no easy task to maintain a genuine smile nearing the end of a long shift. This experience did not go unnoticed for us!

The convenience of having a 7/11 store open 24/7 proved to be a massive perk for us during our New Year’s celebration. After enjoying the fireworks at 1am, we were able to pop into the store and find something affordable, easy, and quick to satisfy our cravings. Little recommendation: get the Shin Ramen – it just hits the spot at 1am.

The ambiance of the hotel was really inviting, as soon as you step into the hotel, you are greeted by the vibrant social hub. This space has a simplistic & modern decor creating the perfect backdrop. It also became our go-to area during our stay, whether we were waiting for taxis, taking a moment to relax, or even capturing some photos for Instagram.

Overall our stay in ibis Styles Singapore Albert was everything we needed and more! Thank you ibis Styles Singapore Albert for kindly gifting us an upgraded stay in the Premium Room! We were pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and top-notch service provided by the staff. The Premium Room was not only spacious and well-designed but also offered amazing views of the city. The amenities provided added an extra layer of comfort to our stay, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel’s convenient location made it easy for us to explore the vibrant city and its attractions, adding to the overall enjoyment of our trip. We are truly grateful for the memorable stay and look forward to visiting again in the future.
